这到底该用how还是用what呢?如何区别?

在这个句子中,“他说”是在昨天,所以要用一般过去式,而他将要在下周（针对说话那天的下个星期）离开去北京,这个动作是过去将来.
注意：在英语中,有些瞬间动词的现在进行时可以表示将来!例如：leave,come等等.在这里的was leaving=was going to leave,表示“将要离开”.
