Two Thieves
My have a 9-year-old boy,his name is Roger.
Last night,when we had our supper,Roger suggested to go out for a walk.My husband was so tired that he preferred to stay at home.Roger put on his favorite cap then we went outside.
We walked along the path in our neighourhood.The streetlight was not very bright,so Roger turned on his micro torch.He excitedly showed me the Baicao garden(百草园),a lawn which has various kinds of grass he recently found,and untiringly pointed out the grass and the trees that the rabbits like eating.
We walked and walked.Suddenly,two tall and strong men blocked our way.One of them took off Roger’s cap quickly,and the other shouted to us’whoe are you?’
Roger and I were too afraid to speak even a word!
‘Aha,it’s you!Little boy!’The man who was holding the cap said.’Why do you disguise yourself with the strange cap?’
‘It’s too windy.’Roger said in a weak voice.’You frightened me,sir.’
‘We are so sorry about that.but we can’t see clearly on the vedio monitor.’
‘It’s too bad than we even can’t distinguish between a boy and a man!’A man complained.
‘Not at all.’I said.’but it’s too funny,isn’t it?’
On our way home,Roger seemed very unhappy.
‘They treat us as two thieves,mun!’
