1 but 和 however 两个,只要用一个就行了.
2 这里是名词用作形容词,都不需要用复数.
意思是：关于改基因蔬菜的有害作用的说法,更多的是推测,而不是有记载的事实.
3 过去完成时的意思,是指北美大陆的西部在伸展的时候,Santa Catulina Mountains 就已经形成了.
而一般过去时（被动态）的意思,是指北美大陆的西部在伸展的时候,Santa Catulina Mountains 就正好在那个时候形成的.
俺的感觉是应该选B,而不是A
再问：你好，那么ago到底是不是不能搭完成时呢？是不是before加完成时，ago加普通时态？
再答：这个不一定。ago 跟现在完成时用也可以，比如：
The Santa Catulina Mountains had been formed 12 million years ago。这种说法就可以，意思是说，在一千两百万年前，。。。
但是，题目里后面又有 during a period，俺觉得就要用一般过去时了。
