A Great Writer
Ba Jin,one of China's most famous writers ,died in Shanghai at the age of 101.His most famous books include “The Family”、and “The Autumn”and so on.
In 1904,Ba Jin was born in an official family in Chengdu,capital of Sichuan Province in Southwest China.Ba Jin received education both in his hometown and Shanghai,and then went to France from 1927 to 1928.
It was in France that Ba Jin started his literature career.His first novel.”Destruction”,was a story of romance and revolution.He was best-known for his trilogy”Torrent”—“The Family”,”The Spring”and “The Autumn”.These three were very popular with Chinese youths at the time and throughout the century.In them ,Ba Jin told a story about a traditional Chinese family.It is a story about fight,love and hatred of the young generation in the old-fashioned family.
Some of his best books were written during China’s War Against Japanese,including short novels”A Garden of Repose”,”Ward No.4”and “Cold Nights”,according to a specialist ,who has caried out academic researches on Ba Jin and his works for two decades.
Ba Jin was regarded as one of the most important and widely-read Chinese writers of the 20th century.
