As aresult, cars gained ever-increasing popularity and have found their way into oureveryday life. Secondly, people participate in more activities or banquetsthan ever before, where they will drink liquor/strong wine. Then, they mayget drunk but continue to drive.
Drunken driving is bound to generate severe consequence if we keep turninga blind eye to it. Firs and foremost, this behaviorwill directly threaten the safety of drivers, passengers andpedestrians/goers, resulting in traffic accidents, injuriesand even deaths. Besides, treating the injured and repairing broken carsmean a grievous waste of money, time and resources. Last but not least, thisirresponsible driving will make the road a nightmare, and thus, it willcauses serious losses of faith in governments and the society.
In view of the seriousness of this problem, effective measuresmust be taken before things get worse. First, it is essentialthat the supervisory role of laws and regulations should be strengthened topunish those performing drunken driving. Secondly, the public, especiallydrivers, should enhance their awareness of public safety.
