There is a lot of talk about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.Most of this talk makes it sound like it is very difficult ,but this is really not the case.There are really only two things that you have to worry about:one is your diet ,and the other is exercise.
The main reason that exercise will help you to live a healthy lifestyle is that your body needs exercise to remain strong.The human body is a machine that is designed to be used,it adapts to meet the demands that you put on it.That means that the harder you push it,within reason,the stronger it will get.This is particularly important for your heart which needs to be pushed in order to keep it working properly.If it never gets forced to work harder it will just get weaker.
The other reason why you need exercise to stay healthy is that is makes it a lot
easier to main tain a healthy weight .Food is your body's source of fuel ,and if you give it more than it needs it will store any extra as fat.Doing exercise will increase the amount of fuel that you need and prevent it from being stored as fat .
In chossing which type of exercise to do ,youshould pay attention to two things .The big one is that it must be able to increase your heart rate .A lot of people advocate walking for example which is certainly useful if you are trying to lose weight.However for your overall health you will be better off with something that gets your heart going to a little faster.The other big thing that you will want to do when you are exercising is to find one that will work your muscles.Getting stronger is an important part of exercise.As long as you keep these goals in mind you should have no trouble finding exercises that you enjoy and will keep you healthy.
