Dear Jack,
Recently we had a discussion about whether we should say goodbye to “Three Merits Students” title,which has been an honor for primary and middle school students for five decades.
Nowhere is the result.People who support to stop “Three Merits Students” title say that it is out of fashion and can’t fit the modern society.They think only a few students can be selected and it is unfair in some schools because of the lack of transparency.
On the other hand,the critics think the good students standard contains the most important element for a person.And the competitions is all over the society.We must keep it on.It also helps us grow up students’ positive spirits.
I think both them are reasonable.And what’s your idea?
