The Lily
I am Lily white and new
bringing Spring as I rise anew.
Dressed in Easter morning dew
I speak of hope;
I rejoice in You.
I am Lily fresh and new
singing of Spring as I rise anew.
For this sweet season of rebirth brings
A bright new life to all living things.

Some roads in life seem bright and straight
but don`t they all circumnavigate
paths that promise delight and mirth
sometimes you overrate their worth
fluffy clouds deceive and rain
a lily`s pink wings so cruelly slain
just by the touch of a callous hand
that hurts (and you know I understand)
don`t see this world as cruel, though
for all your grief shall flee tomorrow
under clouds of gray and tears of woe
have faith, your petals shall re-grow
your smile brightens up the soft light
it strikes your face and sparkles bright
and with those glimmers, God even stud
the pink lily`s life with a special bud
people shall come and people shall go
but this bud will always, beside you grow
if the nights are cold and you feel colder
I`ll light a fire and be your shoulder
sometimes the rain will veil the sun
but we know getting wet is buckets of fun
I`ll be right there, if you ever feel blue
to listen to you moan `all because of you.`
I know you`re sad now, it`s a steep climb
too many problems and too little time
amid the devil and the deep blue sea
but don`t lose sleep, you`ll soon be free
just beam that smile like you always do
before you know it, we`ll make it through
your walled gardens fear the invading sea
but this lily will bloom...leave that to me.
