成方圆成名不久,便推出了一首节奏鲜明而略带伤感的中文填词的外国歌曲“梦中的妈妈”,歌曲讲述了一个孩子对自己母亲的思念.此歌迅速走红,一时间,大街小巷的都市青年,人人都会来上一句,“妈妈,梦中的妈妈,你的孩子还在等你快快回家”.
正当这首“梦中的妈妈”在电台迅速走红之际,一天一家报纸报道,这首歌曲不应该在中国播放.原来该报纸的记者,和一位外国友人交谈时,这位外国人发现中国电台都在放一首有些淫秽的外国歌曲.原来这首“梦中的妈妈”,英语歌名叫“巴哈马妈妈”,是一首讲述妓女生活的歌曲,英语歌词和中文歌词完全风马牛不相及.据这位外国友人讲,这首歌曲由于歌词里有太多的色情用词,国外的大众电台都不允许播放.他对中国电台居然到处大放这首色情歌曲,感到非常惊讶.
这则新闻一经报道后,引起了轩然大波.马上各电台停播此歌,虽然中文歌词没有任何黄色含义,但这首“梦中的妈妈”还是被定义为黄色歌曲.成方圆也因此受到牵连,一度在电视核电台里销声匿迹.成方圆的歌声和磁带,也被撤下了相当长一段时间.大家都为成方圆的演唱生涯葬送在这首歌曲上,而感到万分的可惜.
