在GMAT的语法题目中有一道比较题,
One of the duties of the Securities and Exchange Commission is to guarantee that individual or small investors have the same information about the financial health of a company AS DO THE LARGE, INSTITUTIONAL INVESTORS.
a) as do the large, institutional investors
b) as does the large, institutional investors
c) like the large, institutional investors have
d) in addition to the large, institutional investors
e）as the large, institutionalinvestors
四个答案,
B, 首先被排除.因为investors 是复数,但用了does修饰.
C, 用了like修饰.like一般用作比较事物,名词,不用作动作或者独立从句,所以排除答案C
D, 这个已经改变了句子的基本意思
剩下来只有A和E. 两个答案的区别在于有没有do来做谓语.答案是选E, as the large, institutional invertors.
这道题比较的是究竟是事物还是动作.如果比较事物答案是否应该是 as the large, institutional investors' 在此用所有格
如果是比较动作,as 从句后面的动词是否要前移到as后面?as do the large, institutional investors. 我总觉得as the large, institutional investors do 比较通顺.

个人觉得是as the large,institutional investors 后面省略了have,原因是因为这是个固定搭配the same .as .应该与前面对称,所以不能倒装
