(一)注意主语从句与主句谓语动词的一致
1.主语从句多表示单一概念,因此主句谓语动词多用单数.如:
When and where we'll go isn't decided.
2.what引导的主语从句,根据表达含义的不同确定主句谓语动词的单复数.如:
What we need are books/is water.
之前有人一直强调主谓一致,但英语语法千奇百怪,看这个例子:
There is an apple and some bananas on the plate.

两个句子原则上主语都是复数,但就出现了谓语不同的情况.(传说中的临近一致原则)所以主谓一致并不是一直都成立.本人语法也钻得不深,不知道如果上面的例句变成:
