When facing a TV field interview on “are you happy?”, those people, wearing decent or fashionable clothes and carrying expensive bags, stunned and hesitated to response, with their puzzled eyes wide open.两个问题
1.stunned and hesitated 为什么不用Ing形式,和前面的waring一样,不都是主语发出的吗.
2. with their puzzled eyes wide open是不是独立主格结构,如果是独立主格机构,把with去掉完整的应该怎么写.open是什么词性.如果不是独立主格,那是何种语法.

1.stunned and hesitated 是本句的谓语动词,是主语people发出的并列动作意思是（这些人）吃惊所以.犹豫回答.而前面的wearing 短语是现在分词短语做后置定语修饰前面的名词people,且动作是主语发出所以用现在分词表示主动关系.意思是穿得很好的抱着狗的那些人.
再如 boys playing on the playground are from our class.
2.with their puzzled eyes wide open不是独立主格而是with的复合结构做伴随状语,open是形容词做宾补.是复合结构中宾语的状态.这个短语的意思是：疑惑地睁大双眼.
再如 He was asleep with the door open.
再问：这局里面的逗号是不是都可以去掉？如果我这样改，on the road stand many people,wearing decent or fashionable clothes and carrying expensive bags，这里面的wearing就不是后置定语了吧，就该是非谓语动词做状语吧？那后面再接stunned and hesitated是不是就得用Ing形式了。
再答：逗号可以去掉。 wearing还应是后置定语。stunned and hesitated用Ing形式做伴随状语。
