wring和twist有什么区别?

Generally speaking, "wring" is to twist something to make the
liquid come out. But to twist is just the motion of turning or rotating
something. So you generally find "wring" used with words like sponge
or towel. The way you wring a towel is by twisting it.
Also, "twist" can be used to express the idea of distortion or surprise.
You would say, "please do not twist my words!" You would not say "do
not wring my words." Or "there was an unexpected twist in the plot of
the book." You would not say "wring."
Twist has a much wider range of meanings. "Wring" is basically only to
squeeze out liquid. The only exception I can think of is to "wring
somebody's neck," which is another way of saying "strangle."
