这里 next door前面 为什么省略了 介词 我记得 当this,that,next,last 后接上 时间名词的时候 才能生了介词,这里的door也不是 时间介词 怎么就省略了啊?

你可以这么理解,next door合在一起做副词,所以可以说started next door.而真正的地点状语在后面,on the science hall,是有介词的.
