As we all know,Americans and Canadians prefer coffee drinking to tea drinking.After all,South America is one of the world's greatest coffee-producing areas.However,for most of Chinese,tea is their favorite way to jumpstart the day.
Tea is nearly 5,000 years old and was discovered by a Chinese emperor named shennong,when a leaf fell into his boiling water.But,the history of coffee begins much later,a sheepherder pick a coffee bean into his mouth coincidently,and then coffee spread quickly all around the world because of its great taste.
Coffee and tea are two completely different drinks,but they are being liked by the people.Being tired at night when you are working,a cup of black coffee or light tea may give you a clear thought helping stimulate creativity as it speeds up the body's functioning.Both coffee and tea are good refreshments.
Tea is made from plants,usually tea leaves,and it has a very light taste,the color can be anything.Tea is known for its abilities to fight both cancer and heart disease.There are two types of teas,black and green,which are essentially the same plant.The difference is that black tea leaves are fermented; green are not.As guests coming,we,Chinese,always take tea out and drink tea together; it is a polite deed.
Coffee is made from coffee beans,and is very bitter tasting and black.Coffee has a stimulating effect in humans.But,Coffee has no medicinal purposes .Coffee has a huge type of varieties.The most popular of all is the coffea arabica,of which many varieties exist.Foreigners could almost have coffee drinking at anytime,breakfast with coffee,working or thinking with coffee,read on the bed with coffee and so on.It has become a habit.
Tea ,in china；Coffee,in-American.They all represent a local drinking culture.They have something in common,but also different.In any case,coffee and tea will dominate different people‘s drinking life for a long time.

另外,咖啡不是‘外国人’的习惯,那是美国人的习惯.我们英国70%的人口每天喝（平均）3杯茶,那当然是我们英国的茶哦,跟中国的稍微不一样.
还有.茶有三种,红,绿和白.白茶很难得.这三种茶都来自于同一个植物,这个植物呢每年只有两周的时间,它会长出白毛在它的叶子上.这个时候,弄出来的茶稍微不一样.虽然不是白色的,但是它要比绿茶还轻一点,所以被叫做 白茶.
建议你把‘外国人’写成美国人.
