On my way home last afternoon, I saw an old person walking on crutches(拐杖)(or " I saw an old person walking in the street with the help of crutches). Suddenly, he fell over himself. (Therefore,) I ran toward him hastily (or "quickly").Since he broke/sprained his ankle and could not go home by himself, I took him home by bike. The old man was thankful to me and said that I was a helpful student. Even though I got home late, I was very happy.
