I feel it really necessary to have a talk with you and I do hope this letter can help us better understand each other.

Mum, I understand your true love for me, but I have to say your opinion about my study is not quite right.

Firstly, I think high grades are important, but a student can’t be judged only by this standard. A student should develop in every respect, including wisdom, health and life attitude. In addition, hard work is not always a guarantee of top places in class. Good marks depend on many factors, such as diligence, intelligence and good luck. Last but not least, you have put so much pressure on me that every time I take an exam, I always feel nervous and anxious…
