Sunday at the Whites"
Today is Sunday. Mr White is feeling very happy because the car has been washed, the lawn has been cut and now he can sit down and relax in the garden.Mrs White is not so happy.She has not cooked the dinner and she is thinking to herself. "The dinner has not been prepared,the house has not been cleaned and the dishes have not been washed."David and Janet are playing croquet on the lawn.David is laughing but his sister is not laughing.She is thinking about her homework.Her homework has not been finished.David is laughing because he need not go to school on Monday.His exams are over and his holiday has begun.
Mrs White is coming out of the house and she is asking David,"Please come in and do the washing up. It has not been done yet."David has stopped smiling,becausehe hates housework. Now Janet is laughing.
Mr White is no longer happy because he knows his wife will ask him to help David with the washing up.
Now,Mrs White and Janet are sitting in the garden and Mr White and David are working in the house.
