在表示倍数的比较级有如下几种句型
1.A is three(four,etc.) times the size(height,length,width,etc) of B
2.A is three(four,etc.) times as big(high,long,wide,etc) as B
3.A is three(four,etc.) times bigger (higher,longer,wider,etc) than B
牛津字典上写的是三个都表示B是A的三倍大(宽,长等等)但是教科书上说,1和2是三倍大,3是大三倍.
从字面上翻译的确应该是四倍,但是牛津字典上说的是三倍,而教材上说的是四倍.正确的到底应该是什么?

1和2意思是“A是B的三倍”,而3意思是“A比B大\高\长\宽.三倍”.如：
This road is three times as wide as that one.与
This road is two times wider than that one.意思是一样的.这两个句子可以这样理这条路是那条路的三倍宽,实际上就是说：这条路比那条路宽两倍.
