a number of和the unmber of能加不可数名词吗?
a number of是指大量的,所以后面可以接不可数名词；
而the unmber of 则表示 ……的数量,是一个需用具体数字表示的,所以,后面就应该不能接不可数名词.
我在词典上查到有这么一句话：The number of homeless people has increased dramatically.A number of people left their homes.
虽然在people后没有加s,但people是一个单复同形的词,所以不算是不可数名词吧?
