3.3.从功能翻译角度分析新闻英语标题的翻译标准
新闻传播是一种典型的大众传播行为,其功能主要是传播信息、教导公众、引导舆论.新闻的结构一般分为三部分,标题、导语、正文.就新闻本身分析,标题可起到“点睛”的作用,它是新闻内容的高度浓缩、吸引读者注意力的重要部分；从版面（主要指平面、网络媒体）角度出发,它可以起到美化版面的作用（郜书锴,2003）.基于本文篇幅有限,而且考虑到标题是新闻构成的重中之重,以下将着重从英语新闻标题翻译入手研究.
　　笔者综合多方观点提出,英语新闻标题翻译的准则主要有四条：1、准确；2、精炼；3、到位；4、吸引.准确应该是新闻标题翻译的首要要求,因为新闻报道最重要的在于其客观性与准确性新闻把关,否则将会误导群众,歪曲性翻译严重的将会伤害不同国家人民的感情.如上所述,由于新闻标题是新闻报道内容的高度浓缩,因此必须精炼而且仅仅围绕新闻核心内容展开.从标题在新闻报道中的功能上看,它应该能激发读者阅读下去的欲望,因此必须具备吸引力.

3.3 Translation Criteria of English News Headlines —— Analysis in a Functional Point of View
News dissemination is a typical mass communication behavior,with the function of dissemination of information,Education of the public and Guiding public opinion.The structure of News is generally divied into three parts,headlines,introductions and text.On news analysis,headlines play the role of "highlight",which are highly concentrated on news content and are important parts to attract the reader's attention.In the view of layout (mainly refers to of print,online media),headlines make layout appealing (cited from Shukai Gao,2003).As the space limitation of this article,and most importantly,headlines are the top priority of news,the following discussion will focus on the translation of English headlines.
After Integrateing various viewpoints,the authors proposed that the main criteria of translation English news headlines includ four items:1.accurate,2.succinct,3.apposite 4.attractive.The primary requirement to translation of news headlines is accuracy,for the most important of the news reports is the objectivity and accuracy of the events.Otherwise,it will mislead the pubic,or even worse,seriously distorting translations will hurt the people from different countries.As mentioned above,the headlines is highly concentrated on the content of the news reports,it must be succinct and expand only around the core content of the news.Judging from the functions in the news reports,headlines should be able to inspire the reader's desire to continue,and therefore must have attractive.
