I do not agree.Although it is true that in order to develop a country's economy,innovation and technology are important,the most important thing is to protect the environment.Protecting the environment means that we do our best not to further damage it,as well as to use resources in a sustainable way.
Firstly,protecting the environment means there can be a suitable place in which technology can be developed.if man continued to destroy nature through pollution or otherwise,soon there would be no place fit for further development.water will become too dirty to drink,air will become too polluted to breathe.where else would one build high-tech machines,if there was no land suitable for constructing,or no place where workers could work safely and not be exposed to harmful substances?
Secondly,sustaining the environment means a continued supply of energy necessary for the operation of electronic gadgets,which are the core of advancement in technology and science.Now,humans often consume a lot of energy by burning coal and oil nonstop.However ,they must know that this energy will one day run out,and renewable energy hasn't developed fast enough to fill in the gap.Therefore,humans must protect the environment in order to have a continuous supply of energy with which further technological advances could be made.
