The 2006 Fall term is over for Chinese School.With all the good remarks that kept pouring in to the school,it certainly appears students and teachers have not rested on our previous successes,but worked even harder to bring more enthusiasts to Chinese proficient achievement levels.This year enrollment has steadily increased to 259 or more with 49 students receiving T A S A :Test of Accumulated Scholastic Award,while 7 of our students were honored with the Asian American Heritage Council of Central Florida Outstanding Student!
While the study of Chinese heat is on,I proudly announce the addition of a new class for non-Chinese adult speaker upon our return on the 13th of January,2007 taught by an experienced teacher.We will also be offering for the first time a SAT II Chinese class in this coming 2007 Spring term from January 13th to May 12th.Our school recently received numerous students with SAT II Chinese scores of 700 and above in their first attempt of the subject test of College Board SAT II- Chinese.A score of 700 (out of 800) or above is good enough to be credited as one year foreign language course at many colleges,even at the Ivy Leagues!We take pride in our students’ achievements and encourage all students to take SAT II Chinese during their junior or senior high school year!Before taking the real SAT test,our school recommends students to take the National Chinese School Association SAT II practice test on March 17,2007 which will be held at our school.This score is not recorded and is a good way to test your skill without ever worrying the college or anyone to see it.SAT II Chinese Practice Test at our school is offered every other year.Any one who has studied Chinese for five years or more has the option to register for it.It may just seem like a practice test,but our school highly recommends it,as it will get you to familiarize and get you ready not only for the real SAT II Chinese but also for the College Board first time ever Advanced Placement Chinese Examination coming up next year!
