随着社会主义市场经济体制的不断完善,及作为其竞争对手的四大国有商业银行和交通银行的不断发展,锦州银行发展的压力与日俱增.竞争环境十分严峻.由于客户取得金融服务的广度不断提高而难度却降低,对金融机构提供服务的质量敏感度增加.并且各种细分客户性质悬殊,个性化需求日益突出,而银行产品的同质性却大大加强.这就要求锦州银行大力开展个性突出的中间业务,以应对日益激烈的同业竞争.发展中间业务可提高银行的竞争力,可优化银行资产负债结构,降低银行平均风险水平；发展中间业务还可以满足资本利率的要求,可与传统业务相互促进,吸引、留住客户,促进存贷款业务的发展.因此,发展中间业务是锦州银行的内在需要和保持长期稳定发展的必然选择.
本文通过调研对锦州银行中间业务进行综合分析,利用SWOT分析法总结归纳锦州银行中间业务发展中存在的优势、劣势、机会及威胁等因素以及其相互的制约关系,制定了锦州银行发展中间业务的战略目标,为锦州银行的良性发展提供借鉴.
