Second,individuals not trained as manageroften find themselves in managerial positions.Many individuals presently beingtrained to be teachers,accountants,musicians,salespersons,artists,physicians,orlawyers will one day earn their livings as manages.They will manageschools,accounting firms,orchestras,sales organizations,museums,hospitals,andgovernment agencies.The United States is an organizational society,and itsapproximately 16 million organizations must have managers.
