I also consider the idea of "martyrdom" to be incredibly stupid.Though if necessary I would die defending my family,my community.I'd much prefer to make the people attacking those things die instead of me.But on the hand,I will question which beliefs we are talking about.Freedom,Human Rights?I'd like to think I'd die to protect those ideals.Mere metaphysical speculations about the afterlife and the nature of divinity?No,of course I wouldn't die for those.Not because I might be wrong,but because they aren't all that important to life on this world.
