一个there used to
There used to be lots of trees,_____?
A.weren't there.B.were there.C.didn't there.
这题我问过老师,竟然选A,而我看的资料上是C,用有道翻译一下却又是B也可以,这咋办?

如果陈述句部分的谓语含有used to,其反问部分既可用use(d)n’t,也可用didn’t.例如:
There used to be lots of old city walls in beijing, usedn't there?
You used to smoke a pipe, use(d)n’t / didn’t you?
所以应该选C
再问: 为何老师说这是there be结构,又因为后面的lots of trees,所以说选A呢?
再答: 'used to' 的主语通常是人称代(名)词(如she, they,Lily等),如用表示事(物)的名词作主语,习惯上通常使用“there used to be...”结构。例如: There used to be a bus stop on that corner, didn't there? 那个拐角处过去有个公共汽车站,不是吗? “used to”所表示的“过去”含义常有明显的与现在对照的意思,即“过去常这样做,现在不这样做了”。 虽然这里是there be 句型,但是used 在这里是实意动词,所以应该用didn't there?
