我个人认为是,another,因为是我感觉应该是把那两只笔当成了一个整体.但是这样的话那two of them后面就应该是is而不是are了,不知道我理解的正确不正确?到底应该是怎么样?

another,the other作代词的用法.The other表示“两个数量中的另一个”,表示特指,总数为俩；another表示“总数为三个以上中任意的另一个”,表示泛指.
此处不是泛指,所以不能用 another
你想的把twoof them看作整体,剩下的就是 the other了．
至于后面为啥不跟is,那样违反了基本语法规则拉
