Nowadays,there are two english tests what college students are afraid of called CET-4 and CET-6.What's more,you can also take a test of spoken english if your marks have reached a high level.
As to whether it is necessary to take a test of spoken english ,there is a long-running controversial debate .It is quite natural that people from different backgrounds may have divergent attitudes towards it.Most people believe that it is necessary to take a test of spoken english,it is considered that english has been the first language in the world.Almost everyone would talk with others in english ,so it is practical to take the test.However,there are also some others who contend that it is a waste of time .
Personally,I am in favor of the former point of view,for the reason,most of the students insist on practicing english listening and writing and ignoring english speaking.Under such circumstance,people can use english correctly
