郑子叔躲避寇贼逃到了郊外，一个乡下的农人用豆叶做成的羹给他吃，他觉得味道甘美。回家后，他还念念不忘，于是也去采摘了一些豆叶做成羹来吃，可是觉得味道却并不甘美了。郁离子对此评论说：“这难道是豆叶的味道有所不同吗?不是的，只不过是人所处的情况不同罢了。因此，有的人谋得富有之后就厌弃他的妻子，有的人做了官就不认自己的亲戚朋友，这都是由于境遇发生了变化，感情也随之起了变化。从前楚昭王逃亡时丢失了鞋子，派人用百金赎回它，说：‘我不能忘记它在患难之中与我相随。’因此，论他的功过不及某些君王，而百姓却不怨恨他，不是他会玩弄权术，而是真诚感动了人。”

From the story we can view that people’s emotion are not stable; it will change with the environment we’ve been in.The different feeling of ZHENGZISHU in instance to the soup just happens to the changing of situations.When the author telling the story,he criticizes the people who abandoning the helpers after rich,and at the same time glorifies the people who treasure the friendship whatever the position he obtains.
