To become a translator (written translations of texts): I read one Chinese Languange newpaper and one English newpapey everyday, so that I can compare how the same news is reported in different languanges and learn the grammar. Journalistic language is, compared with books, more lively, current, and mostly written in good grammar and vocabulary.
To become an interpreter (interpreting spoken languages, conversations, meetings etc):- watch good English language movies, and new reports in the English channel. BBC/VOA English are the best form of journalistic English.
