很多年前，我们车上载著7岁的小女儿在上学途中，见到许多穷人在乞讨求助。她问为什么同样的人每天在乞讨求助，为什么没有人帮助他们。

在第二天早上回学校途中，我女儿叫我在每个角落都停车，一个无家可归的人站了起来。我问为什么，但她告诉我等著看著。

Many years ago my 7-year-old girl was in our car on her way to school. We met many poor people. They were asking for help. She asked WHY the same people were asking for help every day and why no one was helping.
I really did not have a right answer to this QUESTION. So I decided to ask her how she thought she could HELP.
The next day on the morning trip to school, my daughter asked me to STOP at each corner where a homeless person stood. I asked why but she told ME to wait and see.
I opened the car window and asked the man to come over. My DAUGHTER gave him a dollar and told him she would see him every morning. This went over for three streets. "HOW MUCH money do you have?" I ASKED her. She told me that her classmates took up a collection of coins and LOVE for her to pass on to the "people on the corner".
Every school day for two more years we stopped and gave dollars or a GOOD morning wish to the "people on the corner". She could always make everyone SMILE even if just for a short time.
What a nice GIFT my sweet little girl gave me on that day so many years ago. Thank you Amber.
