一开始唱 .圣歌 The Hymnal.我坐在第二排，我发现教堂椅背的架子上放着厚厚一本圣歌书，里面收集了所有的圣歌，还带着五线谱，我是看不懂。牧师领着大家合唱，所有歌曲都是赞颂上帝的，旋律很优美，就算听不懂歌词，现场欣赏旋律也是很享受的。大部分有孩子的家庭都带着自己的孩子前来，即使孩子只有一两岁，也同样安安静静跟着父母一起学歌。我看着很感动.
亲身经历了美国的教会礼拜活动，我深深感受到了宗教文化对美国人民的影响，也进一步了解了他们的风俗习惯。我还明白了为什么美国学生会对艺术有较感性的认识，这与他们从小就接受的宗教文化熏陶分不开。但我感受最深的是：与人为善，无论对朋友还是敌人都要以和为贵的宗旨是正确的。人们心中有信仰，并快乐的享受其中是必要的。要了解生活在不同文化背景下的人民及其风俗习惯、行为乃至思想，我们就要抛开成见，深入其中，这样才能真正理解到异国文化的精粹。

We first sang the The Hymnal.I was sitting at the second row,and I found a thick hymn book on the rack on the back of the church chairs,with all hymns written inside and staves as well,but I did not understand the lyrics.The priest led everyone to sing,all the songs were praises for God,the melody was beautiful,even though I cannot understand the words,listening to them singing was a very enjoyable experience.Many families with children brought their children along as well,even though they are only one or two years old,and they sat quietly by their parents learning how to sing.This moved me greatly.

After the personal experience of attending American church services,I felt the extent religion affects American people,and understanded their culture and custom better.I also learnt why American students would have such emotional opinions towards art,this is inseparable from the religious experiences they had as a child.But what moved me the most is that:be nice to others regardless of whether they are friends or foe because peace is of outmost importance.Have faith in your heart and enjoy it is very important.To understand the customs,behaviors and thoughts of people who live in a different cultural background,we must disgard any preconceived opinions,and delve deeper,then can we truly appreciate the essence of other cultures.
