Picture #12A shows her most typical expression.She has what I call an " offended " look,as if she has just been insulted!Both her eyes are a bright golden color not pale as in picture.
Picture #17 and #26 shows her black collar,which she always wears.It has a bell.In #26 she is sitting up on her hind legs.
Picture #15A and #20A show her moustache,s does #12A.This is her most important feature,apart from her beautiful eyes.Part of the black of her moustache also covers the front right tip of her nose.It is vital that the moustache is right.
Her nose has a " bump " on it.You can see it in #12A and a little in #26.It is important that is there in the painting.
I thought that because the moustache is only on her right side,it would be best if you paint her from that side.But you could paint her with her head turned,as in #20A.Actually,I have just looked at the pictures again and her markings are more interesting on her left side,so perhaps from the left side with her head turned might be more effective.What do you think?
I thought perhaps a head and shoulders painting would best,as then you could capture her facial details and expression in most detail.I don't know how you do the background-what do you normally do?
