The governments should not spend money on national defense.It should put the money in arts instead.To what extent do you agree?
Nowadays,there is a growing tendency for some concern that where the governments spend the money on.Some people suggest to spend on national defense while others argue that it should put in arts instead.Personally,I think the two argumentsare both reasonable,but I tend to agree with the later.For the following reasons.
There is a numer of reasons to support governments put money in arts.Firstly,people barely have something to do after work and study,especially youngster.Some of them choose to waste their lives in alcohol and marijuana.If governments spend money on rising some arts competitions,build some arts galleries,as well as develop some intereting and positive games for them,they will be positive to their lives,too.Furthermore,it is widely acknowledged that in the end of 20th century we entered the peace era.In fact,people have got the sence of security.All they require is to enrich their lives.As result,arts become more important than national defense.
On the other hand,national defense should not be overlooked by governments at all time.No matter how peaceful the world is,the nation has to be ready to fight against in vaders,terrorists and any action that try to voilate the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.More importantly,to ensure the nation’s security is precondition for everything in cluding arts.For example,small and developed countries like Japan and Korea,spending about a quarter of governments budget on military expenditure.This is mainly because they keep beening threatened by powerful countries and have to be self-defensive in anytime.To sum up,a certain portion of money the governments have to put on national defense,but not necessary a large portion.
In summary,from above analysis,we can draw a conclusion that although putting money on national defense is indispensable and irreplacable,I still conveined that governments should spend more money on arts instead,for the sake of we are in a relatively peaceful world.
