I. Major Tourism Zones
1 East Lishui Tourism Zone
Along Jinhua-Wenzhou railway and the main stream of River Ou are three scenic spots: Jinyun Xiandu national scenic spot, Qingtian Shimeng Cavern provincial scenic spot and Lishui Nanming Mountain & East-West Rock provincial scenic spot. Undulating mountain ridges, tortuous streams, peaceful valleys and weird-shaped rocks lure you to the heart of the zone where it is commonly described to excel "Guilin in handsomeness, Mount Huang in spectacularity, and mount Hua in exoticism." Legends have it that Dinghu hill in Xiandu is the place where Huangdi, the predecessor of our race, made pills of immortality and flew away from earth. A great amount of tablet inscription is found in Yuxu Palace and Niweng Cavern, which is said to be handed down by ancient Chinese scholars, making the two places a famous concentration of rock engraving in Zhejiang. Qingtian, the renounced hometown of overseas Chinese, bedazzled the world with its consummate skill of stone carving.
2 Xiangong Lake Vacation Resort
The second largest man-made lake in Zhejiang, Xiangong Lake was formed when a dam was built on River Ou for the construction of Jinshuitan hydraulic power station. It gets its name from the nearby Xianxia Range Mountain and Donggong Mountain. The lake extends 66 kilometers and covers a total acreage of 34 square kilometers, cutting across Yunhe county and Longquan city. Along its zigzag course and within the mountain ranges, 56 lake bends and 36 islands are found. Limpid water mirrors verdurous mountains, with water side pavilions and terraces dappling around, it presents you with a picturesque view of south China landscape. The mild and salubrious climate of the place entitles it to a wonderful summer resort as well as a recuperation center. Jinshuitan hydraulic power station, whose original design is unique in China, and Shitang hydraulic power station, the first computer controlled station in China, lie just nearby and are worth visiting.

Together with several provincial forest parks (Longyuan in Longquan, Hushan in Suichang, and Baimashan, etc.), they preserve more than 200 species of plants from 170 families and many species of wild animals, among which, 40 plant species and 20 animal species are on the nation's reservation list (83% and 67%of the total number of Zhejiang province respectively). The Huangmao peak of Fengyang Mountain is the highest mountain peak in southeast China. Baishanzu fir is listed among the 12 dying plant species by international organizations, and Jiulong Mountain is honored as the "cradle for ancient plant species in east China."
