About school uniforms, some students love them; some students hate them. According to our recent investigation, over 80 percent of the students like the idea of wearing uniforms to school because they do not want to have to think about what to wear each morning.
Though students like wearing uniforms to school, more than 60 percent of the boys think that their uniforms are too old-fashioned and uncomfortable. “I have to wear a tie in the summer time. It's so uncomfortable,” many of them said.
Another common complaint from 30 percent of the students is about the design of the uniform. One student we interviewed said that the trousers were too tight. In fact, all the students said they were not happy with the materials used for their uniforms.
We asked the girl students to describe their ideal uniforms. Here are some of their ideas:
“I should like a modern dress with pockets. It should be made of wrinkle-free materials.” “I'd like to be able to wear trousers to school instead of skirts. They keep me warm during the cold winter,” another girl said.
