SPEAKING TEST
News report:University tuition fees are not a small expense for many Chinese. It is calculated that the mational average annual tuition was about 5,000 yuan in 2005,a dramatic increase form the amount of 800 yuan in 1995.The expense is even higher for students at new school sites, with an average of about 6,000 yuan or more. Today, the national income growth per capita is less than four times higher than it was a decade ago.China's current gross domestic product per capita is about 10,500 yuan. However, school tuition in China is far above the internationally accepted ratio of about 20 percent of the average per caoita GDP rate.
topic:Who should pay the university tuition fees?
Questions for reference:
1.Do you think that China's university tuition fees are at a reasonable level? Why or why not?
2.Should the school tuition be paid by the families or by the state? Give your reasons.
3.What is your suggestion for reforming the school tuition system in China today? What should we do to help collage student from poor families?
自己写的:
As far as I'm concerned, the tuition fees are precisely at a high level.Considering the average income of the country, the number of the people who cannot afford to go to the university is rather horrible. We confess, there are loans from banks for study, but that's not a good way actually ,for so many people who graduated but never pay the debt, and the banks act with much more cautions when they decide whether provide a loan to students now.I guess the tuition fees being paid by the state may probably be a good idea, for this measure may bring a lot of knowledgeable man to the state, which may help the country become prosperous either.I'm not sure how to reform the school tuition system, for it's too difficult for me a student to talk about, but I do suggest students from poor family study harder so that they can get a scholarship ,which may help to solve the financial problem of their family.
