Modern Tale of Aladdin
Characters角色: Aladdin(阿拉丁), Genie(神灯守护神), Jasmine(阿拉丁妻子), Sultan(Jasmin的父亲), Dora(Jasmin的母亲)
SCENE 1
（路边的独白）
Genie: Ah, good evening to you my friends. Welcome to my Land ofmystery! I come from a land, from a faraway place. A place where there arecamels, intense heat and more sand than water. But it is home. Well actuallythis is home. (Shows lamp) Yes, I am a magical Genie, and most of my life isspent in this tiny little lamp.
But… this is no ordinary lamp! It once changed a young man's life.His name was Aladdin, and I helped him find true love. He found my magical lampand it changed his life. (He sets the lamp down and exits. Aladdin enters. Heis whistling a tune.)
SCENE 2
（大半夜,阿拉丁刚下班,一个人默默的在等公车）
Aladdin: (在来回踱步的时候Notices the lamp)Hey what’s this? (He picks it up) ew… it’s so dirty… probably just garbage. (他正想扔的时候)
（神灯冒着烟登场）（阿拉丁很震惊）
Genie:Who are you that calls me from my lamp?
Aladdin: What?
Genie:（异常热情）Who are you? And why have youcalled me?
Aladdin:（慌张,说话结巴）I didn’t call. Imean I don’t think I did.（双手环胸,做自卫状）I have no moneyand I’m not a gay.
Genie:（狂笑,瞬间镇静）Me too.So,what’syour name? Tell me now.
Aladdin: A…A… Aladdin. Please don’t hurt me.
Genie: (Bows to Aladdin,恭敬的) I won’t hurtyou. I am the genie of the lamp and I will obey you.I will do anything you ask.You are my boss. What is your command?
Aladdin: You mean that you live in this lamp and when I rub it youwill come out and do any thing I say?
Genie: (Nods) Right.
Aladdin: You must be kidding me!I’m not a child. Thanks. And goodbye.（转头走掉）
Genie:（悲惨状）No!Don’t leave me!（抱住大腿）Please!Please!Please! Believe me! (伸出一根手指)Once!
Aladdin: OK.Fine.（想象状）First I want to wishfor a good job, and a comfortable office room, and a beautiful house, and aluxury car, and a beautiful wife…（灯拿出纸笔匆忙的记）no wait…（全部动作停止）first I wish that I could leave this place to see the rest of theworld… no wait…（全部动作再停止）Wow, who is that? She isbeautiful! (Just then Jasmine enters. She is crying. She sits down. Aladdinmakes a sign to the genie to keep quiet and crosses to her) My lady,why are youcrying?
SCENE 3
Jasmine: Well,wouldn’t you cry if you wereme?
Aladdin: Oh ,I don’t know. I don’t think so.
Jasmine:（花痴状）he is so tall and rich andhandsome.But he doesn’t love me.He loves all of the beautiful young women.He’sa totally playboy.What I want is a man who loves me a lot.（和阿拉丁眉目传情）And just because he is the son of the richest man in city,my father says that I have to marry him.
Aladdin: Well ,you don’t always have to do what your father says.
Jasmine: I do. My father is theSultan… you know he is (停顿)the second richest man in city.You know,those silly businessthings, and silly commercial marriage.
Aladdin: Wow… I guess being richisn’t so great after all. And there must be something that I can do to help.(Aladdin suddenly has an idea. He looks over at the Genie and at his magiclantern.) Hey, I’ve got an idea! (Suddenly there is the sound of footsteps)What’s that?
Jasmine: Oh no… it’s my father. I shouldn’t be talking with you. Ifhe finds you… Oh my god! Hurry… Hide… Over there… (Aladdin runs and hides. TheSultan enters. Aladdin watches.)
Sultan: Where have you been? Ihave been searching for you. Well,well,well,my foolish daughter. Have you thoughtabout my decision? You will marry the most handsome and the richest guy（停顿）’s son, right?
（Dora护着Jasmine）
Dora:Listen,honey.You shouldn’tpush your daughter.You know the he won’t love her,and how could you watchingour daughter being hurt by him?
Sultan:That won’t be happen.A manknows his responsility after he marries someone.Just like me.I was a playboysome yesrs ago.（甩头,潇洒状）
Dora:（关怀状）Sweetie,don’t bescared.We’ll solve this problem.I won’t let you marry the playboy.He will hurtyou.（哭）
Sultan: It’s really a wise decision. There is nothing to cry about.You will have a magnificent ceremony, and we shall have a parade in thestreets… a band… music… delicious foods…and… (Aladdin interrupts him)
Aladdin: Excuse me Mr. Sultan, sir…
Sultan: Who is this intruder?
Aladdin: (Very nervous) Ah… Aladdin ,sir. (He bows)
Sultan&Dora:噢~~~阿（拉长音）拉丁神灯!
Sultan:What are you doing here?（慌张状）Security!Security!
Aladdin: Wait please. I came here to give you a very high honor.
Sultan: A high honor. What kind of high honor?
Aladdin: I came here to offer amore worthy husband for your daughter sir.
Dora:Oh,nice~~~
Sultan: Better than a Tall Rich Handsome? Impossible!
Aladdin: Oh yes it is sir. It isthe most amazing man. He is a brave and honorable night and has mysterious andmagical power.
Dora:Ah,nice~~~
Sultan: Hmmm…And who is this person that youare speaking of?
Aladdin: This person is me.(Says it weakly) Yes,it is me (Says it stronger. At first the Sultan后退几步, and then he starts to laugh.）（Dora表情尴尬怀疑）
Dora:（小声）Yeah,nice~~~
Sultan: (突然停止笑声,面部平静) Did you justget married to your lamp?!嗯?My阿~~~拉丁神灯!(转而大声尖叫)Security!
Aladdin: No please sir… I am telling the truth… I can prove it!
Sultan: All right . If you want to marry my daughter you must pass atest. There is a dragon that has been killing many of the villagers in mykingdom. Come to my palace before sunset tomorrow with the dragon’s head. Ifyou kill him, you can marry my daughter.
Aladdin: A dragon?（荒唐状）（恢复正常）Yes, sir. (He敬礼to the Sultan and Dora,并飞吻at Jasmine)
Jasmine: (The Sultan is dragging her out) No! Aladdin youshouldn’t have done this!（悲惨状,眉目传情,依依不舍）
SCENE 4
Aladdin: (Rubs lamp. Genie comes to life) Boy, am I glad to see you!
Genie: You look terrible what happened?
Aladdin: I fell in love.
Genie: Oh that explains it.
Aladdin: You said that you would do anything for me didn’t you?
Genie: Yes. I am your servant.
Aladdin: Excellent. Come with me into the city tonight… and togetherwe must defeat a dragon.
Genie: (Looks a bitscared and surprised) Wow,a dragon! Okay,come on,let’s go. (Aladdin and Genieexit)
神灯的独白（附带打架的音乐）
Genie: (Enters) So we went into the village later that night, andwhat did we see…（干咳）a dragon. And whom do you thinkwon?（骄傲状）Of couse,we won. Hmm… Well, just watch andsee.
SCENE 5
Sultan: (Looking at his watch) Well, it seems as if Mr. Aladdin hasdisappeared. I guess that he must the end of your foolish friend. Probablydead… (Just then Aladdin enters)
Aladdin: (He is carrying the head of a dragon,路人被胁迫着上台,然后ew一声,装死倒地) I have passed your test sir. Thedragon (停顿并犹豫)is dead.
Sultan: You amaze me,Aladdin. You killedthe dragon. I underestimated you. You shall marry my daughter.True love wins.
Dora:Aladdin,good boy, you did agood job.And I’m convinced of giving my baby to you.You are really nice~~~~
Aladdin&Jasmine: Thank you!(runs to embrace父母)
派对音乐响起
Sultan: Come on. We shall plan the wedding feast! My son!Party time!（夫妻两个非常激动,在远处狂欢）
Aladdin: Oh I almost forgot. I have a present for you. (Aladdinpulls out the lamp)
Jasmine: It’s beautiful,（乱摸灯）but it’s muchtoo valuable and big.Thank you.I love you so much.
Aladdin: Oh, I love you,too.（深情拥抱并且在婚礼进行曲中跳舞,所有人一起加入）
