I'm a Chinese girl who has immigrated to USA for three years.I still remember when I just came to USA,it's hard for me to adapt this new environment and I really wanted to back to my native country as quickly as possible.The cultures between those two countries are totally different,such as the languages,environment,educations,and the food that people usually eat.
I lived in Albany,Oregon with my aunt and her family when I first came to USA.I lived in the country-side,which is very beatiful and green; so many trees and forests,and many animals live in there,such as squirrels,deer,and rabits.Not many people live in the country-side,usually every family live in a house and has a land for each house.The stores are very far from my aunt's house,we have to use transportation to go there.My middle school was form of white American and Mexicans,only few other foreigners in there.I was the only Chinese in that school,and English became the most important language for me because no one could understand if I speak Chinese to them,learning English was hard for me.America has a lot things are free,which is awesome!I didn't have to pay for the school,lunch,and school bus,even textbooks.Students check out the textbook from the school library,and have to return in end of the school year so that other students can use for many years.In lunch,I usually eat junk food,but they are delicious,such as hamburger and chicken nuggets.
I lived in the city in China,which is a busy place.The city is not quiet,and so many walk back and forth every day.Stores,supermarkets,and my school is close to my home,I could walk to there,instead of taking transportation.I only attended elementary school in China,and I had to pay for the school and buy textbooks for each year.School lunch was not free for any student,students could choose either eat lunch in school or not.We have school buses,but are not free.I'm sure that Chinese students learn more and harder knowledge than American students in same grade.Teachers gave students a lot of homework every single day,and have to memorize so many articles from the textbook in school years,which American teachers don't tell the students to do.
Each country has it's advantages and disadvantages,these make the countries different to one another.If you ask me,which country I like the best,China or USA,I would say both.Both countries are awesome!What do you think?
