it is……since……这个句型,since后面如果是延续性动词,用过去时,意思是不干什么多少时间了.上面一句意思是 “我不在北京工作2年了.但是……”
but our work(not finished),we refused his offer.逗号后面没有连词,逗号不能直接连接两个完整句子,用has not been finished的话这句就成了完整句子了,.用not finished,是独立主格结构,finish与work间是被动关系,用过去分词,否定就在动词前加not.
that引导同位语从句,that后面来解释说明the rumour 的内容的.同位语从句只用that引导,且先行词得是 news,story等有内容的词.
